Loyalty & Rewards - Points Expiration

Points expire after a certain period of inactivity, for a period of 3 months to 2 years for our Rewards & Loyalty app. This means that if you go 3 to 24 months without earning points or redeeming rewards, you'll lose the accumulated points.

How To Setup Points Expiry

  1. Head over to Settings - Points
  2. Under the Points expiry section, click on the dropdown list below Points will expire after
  3. Choose the option between 3 months, 6 months, 1 year or 2 years
  4. Remember to click on the Save button on the bottom right to save your settings!

How Do Points Expire

Our expiration of points is built to reset points to 0 if there is no activity from the customer for the period you’ve selected.
For example, a customer  last activity is on 6th January 2021, the points will expire on 6th January 2022 if there is no activity from the customer and the points are set to expire after 1 year
The customer will receive an expiration reminder email 30 days before on 6th December 2021.

Making a purchase is considered an activity for the rewards program, so such activities will stop the points from expiring
